Is It Safe?
Because PDO Threads are non-invasive, this treatment option is low risk compared to facelift surgery. It is completely safe and should only be performed by a licensed trained professional. PDO Threads have been widely used for decades in cardiovascular surgeries and are FDA approved.
What Can I Expect During My Treatment?
After you are brought back to your treatment room and have discussed extensively all information about the treatment and the areas you would like to have treated with our PDO Thread master injector, then you are ready to begin. The treated areas will be cleaned and injected with lidocaine to numb the area for your own comfort. After you are fully numbed, the threads are introduced into the skin through a fine needle. Once it has entered the appropriate layer of the skin, they act as anchors as the skin is lifted upwards. Results will appear immediately with ongoing improvements over the next couple of weeks and months.
What Can I Expect After My Treatment?
After your PDO Threading, you can expect some swelling for at least 2 days. Bruising may sometimes occur but very rarely due to the fact that our PDO Thread master injectors utilize cannulas which are meant to minimize any bruising. You can expect to be sore and we do recommend avoiding dental work, and any other procedures to the face while the swelling and soreness subside. At about your 2nd or 3rd week after the PDO Threading treatment, results will appear to its’ full effect.
How Long Does a PDO Thread Lift Last?
The lasting results of a PDO Thread Lift treatment depend on a person’s rate of metabolism and the thickness and quality of the threads used. Typically, for Beautique’s clients, we have found that the threads dissolved an average of 6 – 9 months. By this point, the threads have helped your body increase your collagen production, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Full results should last 2 -3 years with additional threading treatments possibly needed for longevity.
