How Permanent is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is permanent when the hair follicle is destroyed. When the hair follicle is only damaged, the hair will eventually regrow. … Hair that is in a resting phase will grow back more slowly than hair that is in another phase. Most people can expect some hair regrowth within a few months.
Why does Hair Grow Back After My Session?
After laser hair removal, hair is most likely to grow back on the chin, neck, and other areas of the face. This may be due in part to hormonal fluctuations and the reactivation of hair follicles by androgens, such as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and testosterone.
How Can I Get the Best Results from Laser Hair Removal?
- Start With A Consultation. Our team is highly trained in creating a plan for you to provide results. We will never start Laser Hair Removal procedures without a thorough consultation.
- Be Prepared. We recommend clients arrive for their laser hair removal appointment with treated areas shaved a day before. For intimate areas we can help trim/shave, but it will add time to the treatment
- Have Realistic Treatment Goals. Remember hair grows in phases and we can only permanently eliminate hair in the Anagen (active) phase, which is why multiple sessions are required.
- Timing Is Everything. We recommend avoiding treatments during your menstrual cycle because you are more sensitive during your “time of the month”.
- Schedule Treatments Ahead Of Time to make sure that you are committed to the treatments.
