How Dermal Fillers Work
We naturally lose hyaluronic acid (HA) as we age overtime, which leaves the skin less supported, which causes lines and wrinkles to develop. By using Dermal Filler, we can help replace the lost Hyaluronic Acid, lifting and smoothing targeted folds and wrinkles, restoring subtle volume to cheeks, plump and smooth lines of the lips, smooth out smile lines and even brighten up dark, tired under eyes. These minor adjustments can make a huge, yet natural-looking difference to a person’s appearance, providing them with a fresher, head-turning look. Each filler type can be used alone or in combination with others to achieve your desired results.
What Can I Expect During My Treatment?
At Beautique Medical Spa our top priority is YOU… we want to make sure that you are safe, comfortable and well educated before any treatment is started. Clear communication before the procedure ensures your comfort throughout the whole treatment. Even though the Juvederm products already come with lidocaine, if you feel you need more numbing cream ahead of time, we will schedule time to apply a topical numbing cream prior to injecting for a pain-free treatment. Compared to Botox, Dermal Fillers are injected much deeper into the skin which is why a numbing cream can be used – Fun Fact: Dermal Fillers are longer-lasting than Botox!
Immediately after your injections we’ll give you a cold compress or ice pack to help provide relief as well as minimize any swelling that may occur. The best part? Results can be seen immediately and our master injector is able to massage the product in order to help it settle better. If you are not happy with the results- yes, it can be undone. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved by injecting a substance called hyaluronidase. Making injectables a preferable treatment option for most clients!
