LOVE YOUR SKIN A LATTE…

Pumpkins aren’t just beneficial for your taste buds…they are REALLY good for your Skin too. Apart from being the most popular latte at Starbucks and of course carved out lanterns for Halloween, it’s pumpkin season ???? and we couldn’t be more excited! The smell, taste and decor of pumpkin is literally everywhere! But besides tasting delicious and smelling wonderful; did you know that pumpkin is a great antioxidant for your skin. In fact, pumpkin has over 100 nutrients in it that can help restore and heal your skin!

PUMPKIN 411: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PUMPKIN SKIN BENEFITS

Did you know that pumpkin is such a powerful source of antioxidants that it:

  • Boosts your collagen
  • Brightens your skin
  • Increases cell turnover
  • Reduces pore size
  • Smooths out the texture

It’s true! And with the fall season already upon us the weather is becoming a bit chilly. Okay, so not so chilly in deep South Texas, but we will start to notice a drop in temperature soon, and our skin does change with the seasons. As we start to get drier weather you may notice that your skin may start to feel a bit on the dry side, but you can give your skin a treat and refresh its natural glow by using one of the most popular fruit  of the season (…thanks StarBucks ☕️).

SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE BENEFITS OF PUMPKIN:

Have you ever wondered what makes pumpkin pie so orange? It is the miracle antioxidant, beta-carotene, that converts to Vitamin A which plays a gigantic role in your having good health and great skin.
The beta-carotene in the pumpkin is what gives it that red-orange color which makes it look so nice in the fall. But besides enhancing color, beta-carotene is also a natural enzyme. The powerful anti-oxidant pack a double punch because it helps to boost your immune system when consumed internally, but also reduces oxygen damage to cells brought on by free radicals and other toxins, which helps boost collagen production and reduces signs of aging.
Pumpkin is packed with fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover- shedding away dead skin cells- which in turn brighten and smooth the skin. Vitamin A and Vitamin C are also found in pumpkin, and these nutrients will help soften rough skin texture, soothe the skin, and brighten the skin giving it that natural glow we all desire.
The zinc found in pumpkin can naturally protect your skin from the ultra violet rays (UVA’s),  reduce your pore size and help make your skin look more refined.  Zinc regulates excessive sebum, an oil production which helps to reduce acne in the skin.

TREAT YOUR SKIN WITH A (PUMPKIN SPICE) LATTE FACIAL:

Ok, so maybe a pumpkin spice latte from your favorite coffee shop won’t renew and refresh your skin, but a pumpkin facial can. Revive your dry summer skin with our fall facial to help tighten and firm your skin. Show off a more rejuvenated and brighter skin as well as renew your naturalr glow for the season. Those with sensitive skin will be able to tolerate a pumpkin peel because it is not too intrusive. Clarity and skin smoothness will be seen immediately following a pumpkin facial.  Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits are also seen through a pumpkin facial. This treatment includes a fall skin analysis, pumpkin antioxidant facial,  skin nourishing booster, and a LED anti-aging light treatment.
Infrared LED light therapy can reverse and control the visible signs of aging and help you look years younger without invasive surgical procedures. Tightening of the skin, smoothing out wrinkles and rough spots, minimize the disappearance of blemishes, softening of redness, and shrinking of pore size can be achieved with this natural light treatment.
Adding an LED treatment to this pumpkin facial will help you acheive younger looking and smoother more rejuvenated  skin. Better than any pumpkin spiced latte! Ok, maybe not, but then afterwards you can treat yourself to a latte on us!
