WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TREATMENT:

A common question we get from our clients is that other offices they have visited say they only need one treatment or only one vial. If you are ready to finally (and permanently) remove the double chin that has been plaguing you, you must also understand that this isn’t a “one and done” type of treatment. You’ll need a minimum of two sessions for the treatment of a “petite area”. Also to keep in mind, the chin area swells up pretty quickly, so we don’t recommend you doing this on a lunch break or before a big evening out on the town. The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area. However, these side effects, if you do get them, go away. If you have any special events coming up, then we highly recommend getting your treatment at least 4-6 weeks prior to the day of the event in order to give the injections time to completely run their course and for the full benefits to be achieved. So, patience, communication, and follow up is crucial in order to achieve the best results.

How long will my results last?

When injected into fat under the chin, KYBELLA® destroys the fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat any longer. This is why we are able to say that it is permanent. Once the fat cell has been destroyed, it can no longer store more, so once you reached your desired profile, further treatment is not expected.

How Many Sessions Will I need?

A consultation is required to find out how many sessions you will need. During the consultation we measure the area with a grid that helps us determine the area size and how many sessions. Kybella is sold in kits and each kit has enough supply for at least 2 treatments. Your Medical Professional will go over a treatment plan with you to make sure that you get the best results. Just remember, with all injectables and most anti-aging treatments, you do not want to cut corners. When you do not get the optimal amount of product, it will not work. There are strict protocols and guidelines that we follow to ensure your results.

What areas can be treated?

This product is only FDA- cleared for the double chin, but when you consult with one of our service providers, they can let you know what other areas can be treated which are considered off – label. Again, consultations are required for all of these types of services.

• Have had or plan to have surgery on your face, neck, or chin;
• Have had cosmetic treatments on your face, neck, or chin;
• Have had or have medical conditions in or near the neck area;
• Have had or have trouble swallowing;
• Have bleeding problems
• Pregnant or plan to become pregnant (it is not known if KYBELLA® will harm your unborn baby);
• Are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed (it is not known if KYBELLA® passes into your breast milk).

Make sure you inform your healthcare provider about any medications you take, including prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Especially if you take a medication that prevents the clotting of your blood (antiplatelet or anticoagulant medicine).
