My Botox Appointment is Set…Now What?

Congratulations! You have decided you are ready to OWN YOUR LOOK with Botox. Now what do you do? What will they do at the office? Relax, we’ve got your covered, here is the lowdown on how a Botox Appointment works at Beautique Medical Spa.

How to Prepare for your Botox appointment and what to expect.

We need a clean canvas to work on so we will remove your makeup (for ladies) with a gentle cleanser and then wipe the area to be treated with a surgical soap. After that, we wipe the area down with alcohol. Your injector will confirm the areas to be treated and make any last-minute recommendations or adjustments. Your injector will ask you a series of questions such as:

When was your last Botox?
Where did you get it done?
What did you like about your last treatment?
What did you not like about your last treatment?
And the MOST important…. What did you get? Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeaveau etc.

We aren’t being nosey, it’s just that the more we know about your past treatments and how you responded, the more information we have to work with to give you the best results. Keep in mind that Botox does not correct skin issues, Botox is simply used to help stop expression wrinkles that can be treated, such as Crows Feet, Glabella, and Forehead. Botox can be used for other purposes (such as migraines and excessive sweating) but that can be discussed during your consultation.
The most common side effects of Botox injections are a slight “Botox headache” and some bruising and swelling at the site of injection. We have some post instructions that we ask you follow, such as not working out the day of your appointment, do NOT drink any alcohol before your appointment or the day of. We will give you complete post-appointment instruction sheet that has Dr. Sanchez’s personal cell phone. This way you can call him anytime no matter what. We want you to know that we are always available for you.
