Say Goodbye to Uneven Skin Pigmentation

skin pigmenation - laser fade treatment

Do you have dark spots, brown spots, rosacea, freckles, or age spots? If so, you’re not alone. A recent study found that nearly half of all adults in the United States have some form of benign pigmentation. And while there are many treatment options available, most come with significant drawbacks.

Our Pigment fade laser treatment (Q-Switched Laser) at Beautique Medical Spa can help address these concerns without the side effects associated with other treatments. The Q-Switched laser reduction works by directing intense bursts of light to targeted areas of the dermis that contain pigmented lesions. The targeted lesions can be completely treated without harming surrounding tissue or overlying dermis.

After each laser treatment, gentle wound healing results in new collagen creation, and patients see a clinical improvement in the treated area over time. The pigmentation will slowly fade, gradually receding. t’s safe, effective and works well with all skin colors.

What causes skin discoloration and how can you prevent it?

In short, skin discoloration can happen because of the overproduction of melanin. Extended periods of sun exposure can stimulate melanin production, which can lead to darker skin and other skin issues.

We have learned how to better treat Melasma (a form of skin hyperpigmentation) without a heat-generating technology which can sometimes cause Melasma to get worse.

Our new M22 Lumenis technology allows us to treat Melasma safer and more efficiently with the Q-switch handpiece.  This new technology allows us to mechanically break up the pigment rather than creating heat!

We customize these treatments based on each patient’s individual needs, prioritizing safety with minimal risks.

After a consultation with one of our skin experts- and our state-of-the-art technology, the VISIA, we will be able to determine just how many sessions you will need to get the results you wish for.

Don’t forget to apply sunscreen for the best possible results – prevention is key!

How to Prepare Before Your Treatment

You should avoid tanning or being in the sun for 4 weeks before starting your sessions. Tanning prior to treatment can produce blistering and further melanin production. Furthermore, we advise patients to refrain from spray tanning and other self-tanning products for a few weeks prior to treatment.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

Once you have talked to one of our skincare specialists and been given a general indication of the number of treatments you will require (because yes, you will need several sessions to achieve results – at least 4 to 6 treatments based a month apart), you are prepared to begin. The total session duration is between 30 and 50 minutes (always could be less, just depending on the area being treated). You’ll be given eyewear to protect yourself and our laser specialist will then guide the Q-Switched laser handheld and powerful bursts of energy will cause discoloration to be broken down over the treated area. If you’ve been bothered by darker splotchy pigment on your face…come let our professional staff here at Beautique medical spa consult with you and provide you with the safest most efficacious solution.

This non-invasive treatment means you will be able to resume regular activities immediately.
