We get this request All. The. Time. Clients will come and see us and just say, “I just want my skin to smooth and glowy, and I want my pores smaller”. When a client comes in asking for smoother more youthful looking skin, we have quite a few treatments that we can suggest. But in the case of Cynthia, she came asking us for very specific outcomes.  Her main skin concerns were that she didn’t like how her skin was feeling dull and tired. When she looked in the mirror, she didn’t like the texture she would see in her reflection and she felt that her pores were looking a bit large.  Can you relate?
She came in to consult with Savannah and after a very comprehensive skin analysis that features the VISIA by Canfield, together they agreed with Savannah’s recommendation that a Microneedling session would probably be the most effective way to start.  When treating dull and tired skin and large pores we immediately want to use an exfoliating treatment such as a Diamond Glow, VI Peel, etc. These types of treatments are great to help minimize the appearance of large pores, and smooth out texture. So why did Savannah recommend a Microneedling treatment? Cynthia already takes regular care of her skin and wanted immediate results. Microneedling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) which is a minimally invasive procedure which improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars by stimulating existing collagen and elastin. By creating controlled micro-injuries with the fine needles used in this treatment, the body is forced to produce new collagen. She is the perfect age to get treatments that will help her produce more collagen to help lift and plump her face. Once you hit your mid- to late 50s, it’s hard to get your body to induce collagen production. That is why it is the perfect time for Cynthia to be getting regular Microneedling sessions because collagen production naturally takes about six months to see the results in lift etc., but the Microneedling will leave your skin brighter, smoother, pores will look smaller right away.
