We need a “clean canvas” ladies and gents! This means a clear and cleansed face.
Numbing cream is applied – I know you were waiting for that one. YES! It’s almost absolutely painless. Personally, I felt a little bit of a tickle and had almost no pain.
Once the numbing cream kicks in – treatment begins. Like mentioned above a pen-like device with tiny needles will glide over the top layer of the skin. As the pen was used across my whole face, a gel was applied to help it move effortlessly – it only took 30 minutes!
My Post Microneedling Experience Exceeded My Expectations. Here’s What You Can Expect:
I was totally surprised at how painless microneedling actually is. You hear that tiny little needles will be smoothed over your skin and you think – “ouch!” But that wasn’t the case. I felt comfortable the entire time and almost relaxed with the constant buzzing of the pen-like device gliding over my face.
Immediately after my treatment, you could see redness and a bit of irritation, which is completely normal. It almost felt similar to a sunburn sensation. My post-treatment instructions included:
•Sente Dermal Repair Cream – hydrates and rejuvenates.
•Sente Dermal Contour Pressed – it’s meant to reduce the redness in the skin, hydrate, and help the skin repair itself.
These two products work together to help the skin recover faster and keep it hydrated. My skin was a little dry at times and this helped in delivering deep hydration. It’s important to follow your post-treatment instructions with the products, not exercising, and not getting any sun exposure following treatment. Just like Dr. Sanchez and his team mentioned: Starting days 7 to 14 and onwards, I would see results that I will absolutely love. The microneedling glow is in full effect, ladies and gents!
By day 3 my redness and puffiness subsided immensely. Although I did feel like my skin needed that extra hydration because it did feel very dry. However, Sente Dermal Repair Cream and Sente Dermal Contour Pressed worked absolutely wonders. So please make sure you follow your microneedling post-instructions to the T.
My skin feels soooo much smoother and I see the difference in the fine lines by the corner under my eyes. And it’s only been a week! With time and as my collagen grows and repairs I will be seeing more results in about the next 6 months.
